Regular Season Round 116: Miami Heat - Golden St.W. 118-120

Second-ranked Heat (25-29) gave a tough game to first ranked Warriors (40-15) in Miami on Sunday. The visitors from Oakland managed to secure only two-point victory 120-118. However their fans expected easier game. Strangely Heat outrebounded Warriors 52-36 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Kevin Durant (206-88, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Bahamas-American guard Klay Thompson (201-90, college: Washington St.) who added 29 points during the contest. Warriors' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Josh Richardson (198-93, college: Tennessee) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists and forward Justise Winslow (198-96, college: Duke) scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Heat players scored in double figures. Warriors have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 40-15 record. Heat at the other side keeps the second place with 29 games lost. They share the position with Detroit P.. Warriors will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Heat will play on the road against the league's leader Nuggets in Denver and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
