Regular Season Round 20: Solares - Easo 85-67

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Solares (3-13) beat at home higher ranked Easo (4-12) 85-67 on Sunday. Easo was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward RJ Freeman (205-95, college: Pikeville) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Carlos Sepulveda (178-96) who added 16 points during the contest. Worth to mention Freeman played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Center Inigo Sarasola (207-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Iker Arrieta (180-92) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Solares moved-up to thirteenth place in Group A-A, which they share with Ordizia-Basoa. Easo lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Solares will face higher ranked Valle de Egues (#5) in Olaz in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
