Not a big story in a game in Tampere where 8th ranked Ura Basket II (6-11) was rolled over by third ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (13-4) 100-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Raholan Pyrkiva. Ura Basket II managed to win fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Raholan Pyrkiva dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ura Basket II's 38. They outrebounded Ura Basket II 62-35 including a 29-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Armin Cane (188-93, college: Stockton) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Bulgarian guard Angel Mavrodiev (183-91) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Cane is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Raholan Pyrkiva players scored in double figures. Coach Juho Jaakkola's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Teemu Ritanotko (202-94) who recorded 9 points and 11 rebounds and guard Eero Myllymaki (185-99) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Raholan Pyrkiva maintains third position in Division with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader Lahti. Newly promoted Ura Basket II keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Raholan Pyrkiva will meet at home PuHu Juniorit (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ura Basket II will play against Karkkila (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
