Regular Season Round 39: Sendai 89ers - Kagawa FA 82-68

Very expected game when 6th ranked Kagawa FA (8-30) lost on the road to second ranked Sendai 89ers (25-14) 82-68 on Sunday. Sendai 89ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated also this game. It was a good game for center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. Sendai 89ers' coach Dai Oketani used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and center Eric Thompson (204-93, college: Pacific) added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Kagawa FA. Sendai 89ers maintains second place with 25-14 record having just three points less than leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Toyotsu FE. Kagawa FA lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 30 games lost. Sendai 89ers will face Cyberdyne IR (#3) in Tsukuba in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kagawa FA will play at home against the league's second-placed Toyotsu FE and hope to win that game.
