Important game to mention about took place in Findon. Second ranked United (17-9) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Adelaide 36ers (14-13) 89-87 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Adelaide 36ers. United players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) nailed 20 points and 7 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) accounted for 10 points and 14 rebounds. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Adelaide 36ers in the defeat. Five United and four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Wildcats. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. United will play against bottom-ranked Cairns Taipans (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Adelaide 36ers will play against Bullets (#5) in Brisbane and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
