There was no surprise when 6th ranked Roche (7-8) was crushed on the road by third ranked Bourges (11-4) 82-55 on Sunday. Bourges forced 27 Roche turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. International power forward Alexia Chartereau (189-98) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Five Bourges players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese center Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-82) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Soana Lucet (185-87, college: Arizona, agency: LBM Management) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Lattes Montp. Loser Roche keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Villeneuve. Bourges will meet bottom-ranked Mondeville (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roche will play against the league's second-placed Lattes Montpellier (#2) and hope to secure a win.
