Second Stage Round 3: Olimpia - Tsmoki-Minsk 65-82

The game between Top Four teams took place in Grodno. host Olimpia (13-4) lost to Tsmoki-Minsk (17-0) 82-65. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. Olimpia was better in fourth quarter 22-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpia to just 6 points in third quarter. Tsmoki-Minsk players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Rachel Theriot (183-94, college: Nebraska) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Forward Natallia Dashkevich (188-88) came up with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Olimpia in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Victoria (#4) in Grodno in the next round. Olimpia will play on the road against Gorizont in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
