Rather predictable result in Torreon where fifth ranked Laguneros (17-20) defeated 7th ranked Huracanes (6-31) 91-77 on Monday. Laguneros made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Huracanes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
