Important game to mention about took place in Queretaro. Sixth ranked Libertadores (13-21) saved a 2-point victory at home edging top-ranked Capitanes (21-13) 96-94 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Capitanes. Libertadores made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Cezar Guerrero (185-92, college: Fresno St., agency: Best of You Sports) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Anthony Young (200-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) contributed with 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Pedro Meza (186-85, agency: Pro Sports) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Panamanian guard Daniel Giron (193-89) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Capitanes. Five Capitanes players scored in double figures. Libertadores maintains sixth position with 13-21 record. Capitanes at the other side still keep top place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Soles. Libertadores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Capitanes will play at home against Aaguacateros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
