Very expected game when 11th ranked Trefl II Sopot (4-14) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Miedzychod (13-7) 94-90 on Wednesday. Trefl II Sopot was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Jakub Nowak (188-89) who scored 30 points. Jakub Simon (202-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Wiktor Rajewicz (178-0) who recorded a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and center Dominik Groth (201-0) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. Four Trefl II Sopot players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Miedzychod maintains fourth place with 13-7 record. Loser Trefl II Sopot dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Miedzychod will have a break next round.
