Regular Season Round 22: Dobrodzien - Pogon RS 82-101

Very expected game when 13th ranked Dobrodzien (5-17) was smashed at home by seventh ranked Pogon RS (12-10) 101-82 on Wednesday. Pogon RS forced 21 Dobrodzien turnovers. Strangely Dobrodzien outrebounded Pogon RS 45-25 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. Quite impressive performance for point guard Patryk Jelen (183-90) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. Rafal Sebrala (194-87) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Center Lukasz Bak (210-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and forward Rafal Desczyk (190-75) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Dobrodzien. Four Pogon RS and five Dobrodzien players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Pogon RS have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with MCKiS Jaworz. Dobrodzien lost eleventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Pogon RS will face Przemysl (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Dobrodzien will play against the league's second-placed Polonia Bytom and hope to win that game.
