The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Lapuan Korikobrat's (10-18) home victory over 10th ranked UU-Korihait (7-20) 89-80. It looked good early as UU-Korihait took a 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lapuan Korikobrat took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Jaron Hopkins (198-94, college: Fresno St.) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Zane Waterman (206-95, college: Manhattan, agency: Two Points) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lapuan Korikobrat players scored in double figures. Forward Brandon Conley (201-93, college: ORU) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and swingman Chris Jenkins (201-94, college: Detroit Mercy) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Lapuan Korikobrat moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Seagulls. UU-Korihait at the other side keeps the tenth position with 20 games lost. Lapuan Korikobrat's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Ura Basket (#11) in Kaarina. UU-Korihait will play at home against KTP-Basket and hope to win that game.
