Regular Season Round 21: Brasilia - Sao Jose 81-73

We should mention about the upset which took place in Brasilia, where higher ranked Sao Jose (8-12) lost to twelfth ranked Brasilia (6-13) in a road game 73-81 on Friday. Brasilia made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Sao Jose was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan center Windi Graterol (204-86, agency: Pro Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Rafael Moreira (201-91) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Douglas Nunes (208-87) who recorded 8 points and 12 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Fabian Sahdi (186-89) added 19 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Brasilia maintains twelfth place with 6-13 record. Loser Sao Jose dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. Brasilia will face bottom-ranked Joinville (#14) at home in the next round.
