Very expected game in Santander where 12th ranked Tormes (5-17) was defeated by sixth ranked Estela (13-9) 88-73 on Saturday. Estela looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tormes' players. American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Jamaican power forward David Samuels (203-91, college: Long Beach St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Estela players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian forward Njegos Sikiras (205-99) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Raymond Canady-Jr (201-84, college: Valdosta St.) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Tormes' coach Jandro Zubillaga rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Estela moved-up to fourth place in Silver.
