There was no surprise when 8th ranked SESE (8-9) was crushed on the road by second ranked Mollet (13-4) 98-58 on Saturday. Mollet dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to SESE's 26. Mollet had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-95) who scored 15 points and 4 assists. Guard Santiago Serrataco (187-90) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Mollet players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Raul Diaz (-93) who recorded 11 points and 7 rebounds and Joaquim Galve (-93) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mollet maintains second place in Group C-B with 13-4 record having four points less than leader Algeciras. Newly promoted SESE dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Mollet will face Andorra II (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. SESE will play against Alfinden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
