No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Umbertide (13-7) smashed on the road 15th ranked Orvieto (3-17) 68-48 on Saturday. Umbertide dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Orvieto's 22. Umbertide forced 19 Orvieto turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-94, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Israeli point guard Giulia Prosperi (180-97) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian forward Josipa Zovko (186-90) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Flavia De-Cassan (177-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 4 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Umbertide maintains sixth position in A2 with 13-7 record. Loser Orvieto keeps the fifteenth place with 17 games lost. Umbertide will face San Salvatore (#9) at home in the next round. Orvieto will play against Savonese (#12) and hope to win that game.
