Regular Season Round 40: Cyberdyne IR - Sendai 89ers 77-99

An interesting game was played in Tsukuba where Sendai 89ers (#2) crushed host Cyberdyne IR (#3) with 22-point difference 99-77 on Saturday evening. Sendai 89ers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cyberdyne IR's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Cyberdyne IR's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) who added 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) scored 21 points. Sendai 89ers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 26-15 record having four points less than leader Shinshu BW which they share with defeated Cyberdyne IR. Loser Cyberdyne IR dropped to the second place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Toyotsu FE. Sendai 89ers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cyberdyne IR will play again against the league's second-placed Sendai 89ers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
