Regular Season Round 21: Estudio - Guadalajara 86-70

There was a surprise result in Madrid where eleventh ranked Estudio (8-10) defeated higher ranked CB Guadalajara (11-9) 86-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Estudio. CB Guadalajara was better in second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Estudio dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CB Guadalajara's 34. The best player for the winners was point guard Juan Llorente (192-93) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Santiago Silva (191-92) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Estudio players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Jorge Roche (192-96) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Estudio moved-up to tenth place in Group B. Loser CB Guadalajara keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Estudio's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Zentro Basket.
