Regular Season Round 21: Boet - Igualada 62-83

Not a big story in a game in Mataro where 7th ranked Boet (8-9) was outplayed by fourth ranked Igualada (12-5) 83-62 on Saturday. Igualada dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Boet's 32. The best player for the winners was Eduard Burges (189-90) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Center Micky Garcia (205-85, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Igualada's coach Jordi Marti felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American Nicholas Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds and Miquel Puig (192-0) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Igualada moved-up to third place in Group C-A, which they share with Esparreguera. Loser Boet dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Igualada will face bottom-ranked Valls Nutrion (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boet will play against Cornella and hope to win that game.
