Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Gifu Swoops (12-16) defeated at home 9th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (5-23) 76-70. It was a great shooting night for Gifu Swoops especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. It was a very good performance for American Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian center Michael Allison (206-90, college: Maine) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Gifu Swoops players scored in double figures. American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) added 9 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Yuma Yoshida rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gifu Swoops have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Gifu Swoops maintains seventh position with 12-16 record. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side keep the ninth place with 23 games lost. Gifu Swoops' next round opponent will be again Iwate Big Bulls (#9) at home.
