Very expected game when 11th ranked De La Torre (5-13) was crushed at home by second ranked Adelantados (16-2) 71-49 on Saturday. Adelantados outrebounded De La Torre 44-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. American guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-96, college: Temple) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Rita-Esther Montenegro (188-82, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Beatriz Bajo (-96) with 12 points and American swingman Jasmine Lumpkin (183-96, college: Texas A&M) scored 4 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelantados have an impressive ten-game winning streak.
