There was a surprise result in Lleida where sixth ranked Castelldefels (9-8) beat leader Pardinyes-L. (15-2) 75-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Eric Manes (194-87) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Andreu Sese (189-97) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Wendell Davis (198-95, college: Ashland, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Victor Vinos (193-97) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Castelldefels moved-up to fourth place in Group C-B, which they share with Arenys and JAC Sants. Loser Pardinyes-L. still keeps top position with two games lost. Castelldefels will face Vive El Masnou (#14) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pardinyes-L. will play on the road against Barbera (#13) in Barcelona and hope to win that game.
