Very important is a road loss of third ranked Nishinomiya S. (20-21) against fourth ranked Orange Vikings (17-24) on Saturday night. Visiting Nishinomiya S. was defeated by Orange Vikings in a tough game in Matsuyama 88-93. Orange Vikings players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Nishinomiya S. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Taishi Kasahara (188-89) supported him with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists by American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: DePaul) did not help to save the game for Nishinomiya S.. Point guard Sotaro Uehara (170-94) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Orange Vikings maintains fourth position with 17-24 record, which they share with Kanazawa Sam. Nishinomiya S. at the other side keeps the third place with 21 games lost. Orange Vikings' next round opponent will be again higher ranked Nishinomiya S. (#3) in Hyogo and it may be the game of the week.
