An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Helsingborg. Second ranked Alvik Basket faced 4th ranked Helsingborg. Guests from Stockholm (15-6) defeated host Helsingborg (9-9) 81-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Helsingborg. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But Helsingborg won second period 21-18. Forward Erik Joelsson (196-97) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Casper Silfver (190-95) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Helsingborg. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alvik Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Djurgarden. Newly promoted Helsingborg keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Alvik Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Helsingborg will play on the road against Trelleborg (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
