Regular Season Round 35: Aisin AW - Tokyo Big Blue 107-63

Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 28th consecutive match to fourth ranked Aisin AW (18-10) 107-63. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 32. Aisin AW forced 20 Tokyo Big Blue turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Aisin AW players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Yuzo Okada (180-92) helped adding 18 points and 4 assists. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Kengo Funabashi (189-93) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aisin AW have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 18-10 record. Tokyo Big Blue at the other side still closes the standings. Aisin AW will play against Iwate Big Bulls (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
