There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (12-28) defeated at home their close opponent Yamagata (16-25) 76-66 on Sunday. They outrebounded Yamagata 44-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 19 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and point guard Kenjileon Matsumoto (183-94) chipped in 20 points. Bambitious Nara's coach Haruyuki Ishibashi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Hiroki Furuhashi (185-92) scored 20 points.
