Strangely Okapi Aalstar outrebounded Kangoeroes 45-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Romanian center Alexandru Olah (213-93, college: Northwestern) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Swedish point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. American guard Kendall Smith (190-95, college: Oklahoma St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Zach Thomas (201-96, college: Bucknell) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Kangoeroes and four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Kangoeroes moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Limburg United. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Kangoeroes' next round opponent will be higher ranked Antwerp Giants (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
