LFB top team - Lyon (14-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Hainaut (6-10) 77-69. Lyon forced 20 Hainaut turnovers. Strangely Hainaut outrebounded Lyon 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hainaut's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international Paoline Salagnac (176-84) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and international power forward Marieme Badiane (190-94, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Lyon's coach Valery Demory allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side DR Congolese center Pauline Akonga-Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese point guard Bintou Dieme-Marizy (164-84) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Lyon have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Hainaut lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with ten games lost. Lyon will play against Basket Landes (#5) in Mont de Marsan in the next round. Hainaut will play at home against Bretagne Basket (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
