This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked FSU (7-10) to fourth ranked Vestri (11-6) 97-95 on Monday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 22-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Croatian forward Jure Gunjina (203-92, college: Georgia SW) contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FSU's coach Chris Caird rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vestri have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 11-6 record, which they share with Hamar. FSU lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. Vestri will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. FSU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Fjolnir (#2) in Reykjavik and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
