Regular Season Round 23: Pogon RS - Przemysl 113-99

Everything went according to plan in Ruda Slaska where sixth ranked Pogon RS (13-10) beat 11th ranked Przemysl (8-15) 113-99 on Wednesday. Pogon RS dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Przemysl's 46. They outrebounded Przemysl 46-16 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pogon RS looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Przemysl's players. It was a great evening for point guard Patryk Jelen (183-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 7 assists. Center Tomasz Stankala (202-91) helped adding 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Power forward Szymon Janczak (208-0) responded with 27 points and Pawel Strzepek (190-0) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Pogon RS and four Przemysl players scored in double figures. Pogon RS have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with AZS PCz. Przemysl lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Pogon RS will face league's leader AZS AWF Mick. in Katowice in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Przemysl will play at home against the league's second-placed Polonia Bytom (#2) and hope to win that game.
