B League D3 top team - Tokyo Excel. (27-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Kagoshima (11-19) in Renova 93-85. Tokyo Excel. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kagoshima's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Kagoshima's players. The winners were led by American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) supported him with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Tokyo Excel. players scored in double figures. Even 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) did not help to save the game for Kagoshima. Kenta Tateyama (190-90) added 12 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokyo Excel. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-3 record. Kagoshima lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
