Third-ranked Kings (30-28) made lots of trouble for first ranked Warriors (42-16) in Sacramento. The visitors from Oakland managed to secure only two-point victory 125-123. However their fans expected easier game. Warriors made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists. Warriors brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Kings were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Stephen Curry (190-88, college: Davidson) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Kevin Durant (206-88, college: Texas) contributed with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 blocks (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Forward Marvin Bagley-III (211-99, college: Duke) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) added 18 points and 8 assists in the effort for Kings. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains first place with 42-16 record. Kings at the other side keep the third position with 28 games lost.
