Regular Season Round 42: Nishinomiya S. - Tokyo HT 94-77

Everything went according to plan in Hyogo where third ranked Nishinomiya S. (22-21) won against 6th ranked Tokyo HT (7-36) 94-77 on Thursday. They outrebounded Tokyo HT 39-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. Nishinomiya S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Sotaro Uehara (170-94) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: DePaul) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Cleanthony Early (203-91, college: Wichita St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles, agency: Slash Sports) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nishinomiya S. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 22-21 record having ten points less than leader Shinshu BW. Newly promoted Tokyo HT keeps the sixth place with 36 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
