The game in Gomel was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked BrGU COR Victoria (5-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Gomel-Sozh (4-14). BrGU COR Victoria did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-61. Gomel-Sozh was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. BrGU COR Victoria dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gomel-Sozh's 28 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. BrGU COR Victoria forced 20 Gomel-Sozh turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by forward Yana Lebedich (185-2) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kristina Batsanova (165-96) supported her with 20 points and 6 rebounds. BrGU COR Victoria's coach Nadejda Kamenec used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 20 points and 18 rebounds by forward Anna Hatskevich (180-92) did not help to save the game for Gomel-Sozh. Guard Maryna Rakauskaya (173-92) added 19 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Despite that victory BrGU COR Victoria went down to sixth position due to points difference. Gomel-Sozh lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. BrGU COR Victoria will have a break next round. Gomel-Sozh will play at home against RGUOR (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
