No shocking result in a game in Los Angeles where second ranked Clippers (33-27) defeated 5th ranked Grizzlies (23-37) 112-106 on Friday. Clippers made 36-of-42 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Clippers had a 42-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Grizzlies were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Montrezl Harrell (203-94, college: Louisville) who scored 30 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Italian Danilo Gallinari (208-88) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Point guard Mike Conley (185-87, college: Ohio St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists and French-American power forward Joakim Noah (211-85, college: Florida) added 22 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the guests. Four Grizzlies players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Clippers maintains second position with 33-27 record having just seven point less than leader Toronto R., which they share with San Antonio S. Grizzlies lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 37 games lost. Clippers will have a break next day. Grizzlies will play on the road against Cavaliers (#5) in Cleveland and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
