Regular Season Round 22: Cornella - Boet 73-65

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Cornella (7-11) beat at home 8th ranked Boet (8-10) 73-65 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for naturalized Andorra forward Alberto Farfan (193-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Xavi Guirao (190-87) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Cornella players scored in double figures. American Nicholas Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks and Guillem Duran (188-98) added 15 points in the effort for Boet. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cornella moved-up to tenth place in Group C-A, which they share with Valls Nutrion. Boet lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Cornella will face higher ranked Salou (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
