Regular Season Round 25: Biofarm PZN - GKS Tychy 82-75

There was an upset when higher ranked GKS Tychy (14-11) lost to eleventh ranked Biofarm PZN (12-13) in Poznan 75-82 on Saturday. Biofarm PZN made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game. GKS Tychy was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Mikolaj Kurpisz (202-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Marcin Flieger (185-84, agency: Promotex) contributed with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Biofarm PZN's coach Pawel Blechacz used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) answered with 23 points and Michal Jankowski (191-87) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for GKS Tychy. Biofarm PZN moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Pogon Prudnik and Pruszkow. Loser GKS Tychy dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Biofarm PZN will face bottom-ranked SKK Siedlce (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GKS Tychy will play against Kotwica (#12) and hope to win that game.
