Everything went according to plan when third ranked Leganes (13-6) outleveled at home 11th ranked De La Torre (5-14) 81-48 on Saturday. Leganes dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to De La Torre's 22. They outrebounded De La Torre 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Celia Menendez (186-90, agency: ProDep Management) fired 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Alba Prieto (180-99, college: S.Florida) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Lorena Linan (-83) produced 7 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Jasmine Lumpkin (183-96, college: Texas A&M) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. De La Torre's coach Francis Trujillo gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Leganes. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Leganes will face UCAM Jairis (#13) in Alcantarilla in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
