There was no surprise when 11th ranked Killorglin (4-12) was crushed at home by fourth ranked UCD Marian (11-5) 101-76. UCD Marian shot 69.0 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 75.0 percentage. UCD Marian players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Killorglin's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American point guard Elijah Mays (183, college: Florida A&M) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the other American import guard Mike Garrow (193-91, college: E.Connecticut) supported him with 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by Daragh Jones did not help to save the game for Killorglin.
