Regular Season Round 21: San Martino - Marghera 69-56

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Marghera (7-13) lost to thirteenth ranked San Martino (7-14) in San Martino di L 56-69 on Saturday. It was a good game for guard Claudia Amabiglia (172-98) who led her team to a victory with 21 points. Center Beatrice Baldi (185-0) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. San Martino's coach Enrico Valentini used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Sara Toffolo (184-0) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alice Mandelli (172-93) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Marghera. San Martino maintains thirteenth place in A2 with 7-14 record. Loser Marghera dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. San Martino will face higher ranked Team Crema (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
