Not a big story in a game in Verona where 13th ranked Bakery PIA (7-16) was outplayed by fifth ranked Tezenis VER (14-9) 82-53 on Saturday. Tezenis VER had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) who scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Swingman Giovanni Severini (197-93) chipped in 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Tezenis VER's coach Luca Dalmonte felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) produced 15 points and 5 steals and forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88, agency: Players Group) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Tezenis VER moved-up to fourth place in A2. Newly promoted Bakery PIA dropped to the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Tezenis VER will face Bondi Ferrara (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bakery PIA will play against Pompea MNV (#10) and hope to win that game.
