Regular Season Round 21: Varese - Crema 57-49

Serie A2 round 21 caused change at the leadership position. Fourth defeat of league's leader Team Crema (17-4) against sixteenth ranked Varese (3-18) 57-49 was the most important game of the last round. It was a good game for Arianna Beretta (178-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led her team to a victory with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Francesca Sorrentino (185-98) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Forward Federica Parmesani (183-98) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Alice Nori (182-93) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Team Crema. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Varese maintains sixteenth place in A2 with 3-18 record. Team Crema at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Alpo VF. Team Crema will play next round against San Martino trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Varese will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Moncalieri on the road.
