Bottom-ranked Cerdanyola (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 70-65 loss to thirteenth ranked Coruna (4-15) in Coruna. It was an exceptional evening for forward Andrea Perez (178-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Finnish guard Anissa Pounds (174-90, college: Arkansas Tech) accounted for 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Coruna's coach Ruben Vazquez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Coruna maintains thirteenth place with 4-15 record, which they share with UCAM Jairis. Cerdanyola lost their seventeenth game in a row. Cerdanyola at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 18 games lost. Coruna's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mataro Parc (#10) and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
