LFB top team - Argon Uni Girona (20-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Maquinaria Ensino (8-13) in Lugo 82-65. Mozambican power forward Leia Dongue (185-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Roso Buch (179-92) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Argon Uni Girona's coach Eric Suris used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Britany Miller (192-87, college: Florida St.) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (180-90, college: UCLA) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Argon Uni Girona and four Maquinaria Ensino players scored in double figures. Argon Uni Girona have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-1 record, which they share with Avenida. Maquinaria Ensino lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Al-Qazeres. Argon Uni Girona is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Universitario de Ferrol (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
