Regular Season Round 22: Olivar - Martorell 91-87

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Olivar (9-9) won against 6th ranked Martorell (9-9) in Zaragoza 91-87 on Saturday. Olivar forced 20 Martorell turnovers. Quite impressive performance for center Jaime Pradilla (206-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Venezuelan power forward Jose Ascanio (204-96) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Olivar players scored in double figures. Point guard Albert Valle (181-92) replied with 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists and guard Marti Fonolla (193-96, college: Midland) added 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Martorell. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Olivar moved-up to sixth place in Group C-A, which they share with Martorell and Salou. Martorell lost third consecutive game. Olivar will face higher ranked Mataro Feimat (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
