Very expected game when 12th ranked Martinenc (6-12) was edged by fourth ranked Arenys (10-8) in Arenys del Mar 57-56 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Quite impressive performance for power forward Roger Almuni (202-89) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Heras Oscar (181-99) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Point guard Pau Mayor (-96) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and center Angel Garcia (-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Martinenc. Martinenc's coach Hugo Gonzalez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arenys maintains fourth position in Group C-B with 10-8 record, which they share with Castelldefels. Martinenc lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Arenys will face JAC Sants (#6) in Barcelona in the next round. Martinenc's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Barbera.
