Regular Season Round 37: Iwate Big Bulls - Aisin AW 85-93

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (5-25) were defeated at home by fourth ranked Aisin AW (20-10) 93-85 on Sunday. Aisin AW looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) chipped in 22 points and 9 assists. At the losing side American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and the other American import Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Yuma Yoshida rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Aisin AW. They maintain fourth place with 20-10 record. Iwate Big Bulls lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 25 games lost. Aisin AW will meet at home Gifu Swoops (#7) in the next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Tokyo Cinq R. and hope to secure a win.
