Very expected game when 9th ranked Vicenza (11-12) was edged on the road by fourth ranked Faenza (16-7) 83-80 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Faenza looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Marco Petrucci (193-92) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Giorgio Sgobba (202-92, agency: Players Group) chipped in 21 points. Forward Enrico Crosato (195-85) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Daniele Demartini (186-84, agency: Players Group) added 13 points and 9 assists respectively for the guests. Five Vicenza players scored in double figures. Vicenza's coach Marco Venezia tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Faenza. They moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Orzinuovi. Vicenza lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Faenza will face league's second-placed Cesena on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
