Regular Season Round 3: Pato Basquete - Cerrado 80-81

Important game to mention about took place in . Cerrado (3-1) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging Pato Basquete (0-3) 81-80 on Monday evening. Strangely Pato Basquete outrebounded Cerrado 36-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Patrick Vieira (186-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Danilo Sena (195-99) helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was Eric Soares (205-86) with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Isaac Thornton (190-91, college: Fairmont St.) scored 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cerrado will play against UniFacisa (#5) in the next round. Pato Basquete will play against Blumenau and hopes to get finally their first victory.
