Rather expected game when Petah Tikva (11-10) was defeated on the road by Ashdod (15-6) 79-72 on Tuesday. Ashdod made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Victoria Vivians (185-94, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Alexis Peterson (170-95, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Four Ashdod and five Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. Ashdod will meet Ramla on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Petah Tikva will play against Bnot Hertzeliya (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
